26 Weeks

Today I am 26 weeks. 6.5 months, WOW!! It really is going by fast. According to Baby Center my two dudes are the size of English hothouse cucumbers. Um yeah, I had no idea what those were either, but just picture a cucumber about 14 inches long. I don't really like referring to my children as fruits or vegetables but I am glad that they are progressing onto bigger produce comparability.

I had another growth scan on Monday. The Princes are 2 lbs each and very active. Both babes are no longer transverse. Baby B is now head down and closest to my cervix, while Baby A is breech.

The Braxton Hicks contractions have been pretty intense at night so I was given an fFN test. Again the test was negative and my cervix is still long and closed. Definitely different being on the other side of what I sell for a living. The reassurance is so uplifting!

Looking forward to a nice long weekend. Nesting is in full effect!!!

BBT -Basal body temperature
BCP, OCP -Birth control pills, oral contraceptives
Beta -Often refers to Beta hCG test (See hCG below)

CD -Cycle day, referring to which day of a woman's ovulatory cycle she is presently in

FSH -Follicle stimulating hormone. When used to refer to a means of determining possible ovarian failure, FSH refers to a blood test drawn on CD3. FSH is also used to refer to fertility medications that are comprised of either naturally-occurring or synthetic hormone.
HCG, hCG -human Chorionic Gonadotropin, the hormone emitted by human placenta, is what pregnancy tests measure. Also used in reference to medications that are comprised of the hormone and used during assisted reproductive techniques.
HPT -Home pregnancy test
Hx -History, particularly medical
IF -Infertility or infertile
IVF-In vitro fertilization
LAP-laparoscopic procedure

9/13/09- 2nd Beta 846!
9/11/09- 1st Beta 442, I'm Pregnant!! :)
9/1/09- EMBRYO TRANSFER!!
8/31/09- Gallbladder removed
8/27/09- Retrieval Day
8/25/09 HCG Trigger shot!! NO more needles :)
8/24/09 Fourth TVUS/BW, last night of Gonadatropins and Lupron :)
8/23/09 Third TVUS/BW
8/21/09 reduce Bravelle and Repronex to 4 units, 2nd TVUS/BW
8/17/09 reduce Lupron to 5 units. Begin 6 units of Bravelle and Repronex
8/14/09 Trial catheter pass, U/S and B/W
8/1/09- Let the Lupron begin 10 units
7/15/09- IVF Psych Eval- we passed!
7/14/09- bloodwork, began BCP's- 3 weeks
7/13/09- second IVF talk with Dr. B and IVF group
6/09- meeting with RE and the go ahead for IVF
